Has anyone had a REAL dream about Z before?

Well I just had my first this morning. It was really strange though. I'll try to explain.

It all started in a cafeteria at lunch. I was sitting with 2 of my friends and Virgule (I don't know how I knew it was him, but I just did:D). Well for some reason one of my friends1 went to go sit at a table by himself and ate there.

A couple seconds later, it was like I got a PM in my head saying that "ziyi" had finally visited (visited what?, I don't know). Well I glanced over at my friend1 at the other table and saw that someone with long black hair was sitting next to him. Things clicked in my head, message in my head and long black haired girl sitting next to my friend1. OMG it's Z.

I walked over there calmly and saw them both eating Ruffles Potato Chips (LOL don't ask me why) from the same bag. It was a round table, my friend1 was sitting to the left of Z and the bag of chips in between them. So I was going to sit down right between the two, right in front of the chips, but I thought that would be rude. So I went to Z's right and gestured with my hand if I could sit down. She smiled at me and said of course.

I don't think my friend is really interested in Z (he has watched CTHD and RH2 so he at least knows who she is). Also keep in mind that for some reason Virgule was still sitting at the table about 30 ft away, I don't know why he was still there though.

I can't remember what my friend1 asked Z, but her answer was really really strange. She talked about when she was a child, one of her friends had been attacked by a crocidile. Her friend was sleeping and the croc pulled her out of her bed and dragged her away. She was really emotional. (I don't know if there are crocs in mainland China, but ohh well)

Then all of a sudden, this other guy I know from school came up and asked Z, "Are you the Zhangster?" I thought WTF is that? And I said, "Why do you want to know?" Well he pulled out a wallet that said Zhangster on it (pretty weird LOL) and handed it to Z. Z smiled and said thank you. I told Z that she would have to take better care of her wallet and she smiled back at me foolishly. Well the guy sat down at our table across from Z. Then my other friend2 from the other table came and sat next to the other guy across from Z.

I was so anxious to tell Z about zhangziyifilms.com and about the great fans that have joined there, but sadly I never got the chance. I didn't want to interrupt the conversation between my friend1 and Z. So he asked her a question about characters. She didn't really understand the question, so I helped and said "Who is you favorite character that you've played?" She started to answer...


Whap! I woke up!! AHHH!!!! Where did Z go? OMG I was so angry that I woke up. I couldn't believe it. Why did I have to wake up at the worst possible time?!?! WHY??

The Z in my dreams was just I like I had pictured her to be like. She was easy to talk to. She knew English (how fun would that be if she spoke Chinese in my dream and I couldn't even understand? It would still be great though:D) She spoke slowly as to not make any mistakes. She spoke softly. Her voice was so beautiful. I would have sat there all day long just to listen to her voice. She was laughing and about to cry during the croc story. She was an angel.

This dream was really weird. I don't know why Virgule never came to visit Z. Maybe he waited till my dream was over and sat by Z??:D Does anybody know what that dream meant? What was the point of the croc story? My first dream of Z, it was a beauty.

Sorry Shadow, can't say that I had a dream with Z in it while sleeping. But whenever I do see her picture or in the movies, I'm living a dream, and I do daydream of Z

That dream was really weird, but at least it had Z in it. Hopefully I'm not the only who had a dream about Z. I don't want to be the weirdo in here.:D

I haven't had a real dream of Z either. I do daydream that we're friends though.

I had a dream about Yeoh, and she autographed pics for me in pencil. All I remember was that I wished she was doing it in pen. :offtopic: Yikes, he's scary. :lolsign:

Yeah, like tina I've never had a dream but I've daydreamed where I see her somewhere, totally flip out, talk to her, and I whip out my camera and we take a picture and I post it here and you guys all hate me b/c I got to meet Z. lol

I like this question too, and it's sort of unfortunate that I can't answer it. I would encourage anyway to post any dreams of zz, no matter how ridiculous they are, becuase it's just amazing if you have a dream of someone so dear to you. I've had a lot of dreams of my really close friend-girl (friend-girl, since we're at different colleges) that way, and they've made absolutely no sense (usually there's some distortion in space, like i see nyc in my living room), but there's this sense of realism which makes it so cool!

I would prolly dream of zz if I knew her a bit better. Sometimes I have dreams in Chinese which is freaky, since Chinese isn't my muyu (my "mother tongue"); usually that's a result of class and having too much work. But at this point my commitment of thoughts of zz isn't to such an extent that I have personal dreams about her. However, if i do have dreams about a movie, i'm sure she'd show up. :)

I guess I'm the only one then:sigh: or other people are too shy to post up their outrageous dreams. My dream was so weird, yet it was so real. I wish I could have slept forever. Well I'm glad you guys had a good laugh about it. HEHE LOL. Z has a wallet that has "Zhangster" written on it. Cool.

The strange thing is, I don't daydream like you guys, or maybe just you gals. I hope I have more dreams about Z. This was just the beginning. Next I'll probably be in a movie with her. :lolsign:

Shadow, I'm with you! I had a dream with Z before, but the terrible thing is that I simply forgot all about it when I tried to recall it in the morning!!! All I remember was that I was following Z around ..... and that is all!!! I'm hitting myself hard, but I can't remember ..... :zbash:

March when i was still really hight on ziyi, but like u bonita,
after I woke up, i simply forgot about it, doh!!!

That day I had nothing to do at work, and so all I did was surf on the web for Z news, went to this forum and looked at tonnes of Z pics. Then, when I was at home, and since my sister came back from Hong Kong with the Zip and City magazines that had Z as the cover girl, I spent 3.5 hours to decorate my bulletin board in my room with Z pics!!! In total, that day, I guess I looked at Z for 8 hours!!! :D Is there a shorter way, less than 8 hours of Z, to dream about Z again????

Well I guess you want me to describe my day. Hmm..I don't even remember what day I had it...LoL. Oh ya it was yesterday. Hmm well on Saturday. I was packing a little for UCSD. Looking at Z and the ZZFilms boards. That's pretty much all. Listened to CTHD and TRH music also. Played some computer games I guess.

Hmm...nothing out of the ordinary. I guess just looking at Z all day let me have a dream about her. Don't you wish we had a virtual reality Z? We could dream about her all day long.

Hey, Bonita, as for me, I was posting 50 replies a
day on Ziyi Forever around march and april.
And chatting there for 2 or 3 hours
straight, literally with Ziyi painted, splattered across
my mind. Also, dling CTHD soundtrack, listening to it
while doing home work and stuff. Also, working on my
own Ziyi site, gathering pictures and information.
And that was back in March and April, when I just
started my obsession with Ziyi. I guess thoese things
paid off and the dream just came.
But now, not much time anymore, school 1st, then Ziyi.

Glad to know I'm not the only one tinababy! lol. I don't get as far as the subject title because by then I switch thoughts to, 'If I post pictures of my meeting with Z, everyone at the board is going to know what I look like.' Then I start to think about what everyone else here looks like. Then I shake my head a couple of times to come back to reality. After a couple of seconds I start daydreaming again, this time I see Z at a different location... :sigh: vicious cycle. lol


Oh, here's an idea on how to dream about Z. Don't know if it works for sure but hey, better than nothing. Before you lay down, turn around 3 times while saying "Zhang Ziyi" over and over. Then lay down and think of her, think of her very intensely. Tell yourself that you'll see her, be absolutely certain that you'll see her...then doze off. I guarantee results! lol. I don't know, if it works tell me, alright?

Spikey, throughout the day, I think I have been looking at quite a lot of Z stuff .... but to post 50 replies a day and to be so involved as you did, I guess I have to quit work!!! haha!!! Spikey, I just hope both of us will have a dream with Z in the very near future, and hopefully this time we will be able to remember it!!!

Shadow, I hope you will have a chance to talk to Z next time, and hopefully Virgule will be more involved! But make sure Virgule gives you a chance to speak to Z!!!

LOL hehe yeah, will do. Acutally in my dream, I did get to talk to her. But I didn't get a response because I woke up.:ack!: That was one of the coolest dreams that I can remember ever having. And don't worry about Virgule...It is my dream and I can do whatever I want to him. LOL Naw, he's done so much for me and everyone around here. I think I'll let him have first crack next time.:D

Hey I had another dream, but it wasn't about Z. Well kind of...actually it was about TRH and CTHD. I'll tell you, this one is kind of strange too...

I don't know where it was, maybe some sort of outdoor concert or something like that. I was sitting down on the concrete with my feet on the grass. I heard something fall down, so I looked down besides me and found a slendor black/pink/red thing. I picked it up and discovered it was Di's hairpin that Luo gave to her.

For some reason I decided to try it on, so I put it in my hair. (HAHA I have crazy dreams).

A couple minutes later, this guy that I knew from my high school came up to me. I looked in his hair and he had the comb from CTHD in his hair. He asked me, "Have you seen my TRH hairpin?" I was totally shocked because he doesn't seem like the type of guy who would see TRH (in real life). So then I gave the hairpin to him. Then we started chatting about TRH until I woke up soon after.

My dreams are so weird. I like my last Z dream a lot better. This made no sense at all. I guess that's what Z does to my mind. I almost forgot about this dream this morning. I don't mind having dreamZ. The more Z the better!:love:

That was funny Shadow, putting the hairpin into your hair. Hey, I would have done the same thing you know. There is meaning to dreamz. Did you happen to watch CTHD or tRH lastnite or within this week? There is alot of symbolism within our dreams, so much in fact, that sometimes we can't even comprehend what they are about. If we all new exactly what our dreams meant, and understood them with the ablity to go back everytime we slept, not only would we be human, but an elite race, I think anyway. You see, when I read that you were sitting on the concrete with your feet in the grass, tells me you like to be stable and have a solid foundation, you are determined... no matter what. And with the grass, well that could be anything as well. I get the impression not only are you strong minded and strong willed, but like to be very relaxed and you enjoy mother nature at it's fullest. The green of the grass means something as well. Maybe you desire to be rich or you are having money problems? Maybe with this idea of the Grand Plan has you thinking alot about Z and coming up with the money or having alot of money to do with this? I'm sorry to go on, but I like to analize certain subjects. If you look deep into something, you will see the meaning and realize what you are about to uncover. Good luck Shadow. You are lucky, to be able to have any dream associated with Z. I haven't yet, but maybe I will someday. Thanks for sharing.

I really appreciate you taking your time to analyze my dream Bituin. I found it intersting how some of the stuff you said applied to me. I love the outdoors, that's why I love the scenery in CTHD (bamboo forests are so peaceful) and the environment seen in TRH. Hmm...the money thing. I found $180 stashed away, so this grand plan could work for me until I find a job next summer. And I'm sure everyone would like to be rich.:D

Hmm...any idea why I put the hairpin in my hair?:confused: We all want to touch something that has been in Z's hand, but would we actually wear it? I don't think I would go so far as to TRY and wear Hu Li's costume that Virgule has. :D

I haven't seen either CTHD or TRH in awhile. I was planning on watching them again sometime this week though.

Hmmm, your first dream is a tough one Shadow. I'll really have to read more into it and have my mind set on what I'm reading, and letting sink in. You see, it's really different for everyone to read something, and then look at it in the same way, that is why there are so many opinions. I do know that when dreaming with reptiles in general, basically it can be difficult to analize that. Some people who have dreams with reptiles in general, awake feeling afraid or really anxious. It may be negative. But I don't like to look down that road. On the other hand to the negative side, there is a postive side.In the long run this may be a positive symbol; it may represent difficulties that lead us to the center of personality and result in feelings of completeness. Thanks Bituin. I was maybe thinking that the crocidiles might have something to do with Steve Irwin "The Croc Hunter".:D I remember if I watched it that day or not. So it could mean anything. I had my very first dream of Z lastnite. This was before I saw the Pantene commercial. And I'm going to do my best with the details. Here is a little bit of it. And by the way, you know the dreamZ you have, but forget them easily, then in the future they come back to you so clearly and you know word for word? Well, this is one of those cases. I remember a decent portion, but I assure you the rest will come to me.

You guyZ and galZ will not believe me... what happened lastnite... I... had... a... drea.... with.... Z.... and it was strange. She was accetpting an award. But when I saw Assalee's posted link... and saw the commercial... it was like I saw that... in my dream... holy ... something weird happened in my dream. It waZ about Z. Could this be a coincidence? Or just a simple fluke? I don't know... the mind is unkown. But I do know, that I am somewhat scared by this. I've never had this type of dream. The details are so foggy... I do know we were in an apartment or a studio... and something having to do with a brother. Not sure. But there was tension. Like we were hiding. Or just saw or been in some type of fight or confrontation. Whatever Z said, all in Mandarin, made sense. It didn't matter that I couldn't speak it... I could understand her. I knew what she was trying to say. I can't recall what though. I hope I can remember, how can I forget. I feel different today, this morning.

Shadow I'm fine. The dream was very powerful, but it wasn't a bad dream. It was very, very good. I just got scared for the fact that it seemed to happen on purpose and for a reason. And I was talking to Tripps earlier while on my lunchbreak, and I got a very strong sense of deja vu while talking about it and the Maybelline commercial Assalee provided us with. I wouldn't say that I'm worried, just concerned. I want to learn more about this dream. I've got to remember every little detail to get some hint. It will come to me eventually.

I'm sure Zi's walked across the viewing screen of my dreams on an occasion or two. I just don't recall specifically. But if she ever appears in the future I'll be sure to make any dreams about her completely tasteful. :D

I just woke up from a dream. I don't know how this nightmare invaded my sleep just now... but I was in a room with all these people. I can't see their facez. But, I'm finding myself sitting there... and they are throwing all these false statements about Ziyi towards me. I can't recall any particular one... but I heard myself saying, "No! That's not true!" I found myself in this viscious little circle, and I'm defending Ziyi's name... and there was one person just not letting up. And I woke up, remembering I was crying in my dream becoz this person was just being so awful... and my only escape from this was to wake myself up. Now I'm almost afraid to go back to sleep... :( :sigh: :crying:

Ok now this is better. I just tired getting back to sleep... which I did for a very short time. And, did you ever have one of those dreamz that lasted only about 10 mins, but it seemed like hourz? Well that just happened. I was afraid from my other dream that if I went back to sleep... it would surface again. But this time, I fell asleep and there was a vision of me at my very own wedding! And I do know the girl I was marrying was a Chinese girl... but I cannot see her face :sigh: Now I can't get back to sleep! Insomnia is no fun :(

Is there a real definiton for the word dream? Here is a text book meaning to the word:

And no Brain, I have no idea what I would dream of if that ever happened. Soundz scary though... what a trip that would be.

The closest you will ever come to being in a real dream is participating in this board. This board is virgule's dream, and we are all players.

Well, then we've stepped into another meaning of "dream". In this case, Virg's forum is a dream, as in a goal or a wish. Or, you might mean "dream", as in when 12-year-old girls say the Backstreet Boys are a "dream". Probably, in Bituin's case, he means "dream", as when one goes to sleep and has an infinite number of eccentric and unfolding turns of events, sometimes having meaning and sometimes not. They usually mean something if they are recurring. In my case, all my weird dreams are singular. Oh well.

One can dream consciously, but that wasn't the type of dream I was looking for. The 'real dream' is just something that happens when you go to sleep, you can't predict when it happens. yes, 'real dream' is an ambiguous phrase, but you guys know what I'm talking, it's all BC's fault! So lol, let's not try getting too deep into the meaning of what a dream is. New thread, "What is a DREAM?".:D

LOL, I was reading a thread about signs on the forever boards and I saw a post that Virgule made. I guess this is only funny to a few people...apple.

I'm a Zhangster, born in the House of Z, which is a constellation of starz not far from KPAX. Our symbol is a jade comb. We are known to be fanatical lunatics when it comes to anything Z. We occupy no particular space in the calendar although we do have film orgies every February 9th in celebration of the goddess.

I wonder if I heard that word from Virgule before my dream... I always thought I came up with it lol. It was a pleasant surprise to me haha. We are the Zhangsters, mess with us and we'll pop ya zhangsta styleZ!

And Bituin, nobody rubs you the wrong way....NOBODY! If they do and you better get 'em back!:D

okay dudes, I had the most awesome dream last night! it was about Z so it's not OT. lol. but anyways I can't remember much, I remembered more earlier but couldn't get to the computer.

Okay, so I was at school or in some builidng and Z was there filming or something else. lol. yep, it's too vague. But I remember her speaking english and it was cute. But I flipped out and I showed her my dorm room, ya know with all the posters and stuff. but I guess I had 3 photo thingies that one autographs on, that was on my wall. So I asked her for an autograph. And she was signing them and she didn't sign one so I made her sign that. And it was cute, she was taking her time to sign it very nicely. Don't remember exactly what happened next but I think we hung out. But yeah, not too exciting, but still...oh yeah, I remember how she looked. She had her hair parted on the left.lol. and she was wearing a black sweater, dark gray pants, and like white pumas (not the gangster pumas, but the puma californias)

Woke up very excited, thinking I had met her and that I had her autographs then I realized it was a dream and I was like, "oh damn it!" man, bummed me out. :sigh: sniff sniff.

I liked your dream, Tripps. I've had similar dreams when you wake up, thinking something happened. But when you go to check or talk to someone, you then realize.. just a dream!

Cool! the Trippster had a dream. It just so cool how we can make Z speak whatever langauge we want her to in our dreamZ. She speaks English fluently.:D Too bad we can't be living in a dream world all the time. I would have stayed with Z talking at the cafeteria table lol!

Well, I had my first dream last nite. I remember very little of it though. But I do remember waking up for a brief instant and thinking, "Wow..my first Ziyi dream. Gotta write this on the messageboard...Zzzzzzz"

SO anyway, basically all I remember was that I was with her for some reason..and I had a book, and I said, "Read this..show me your English." Not in a mocking tone of course, but more of an encouraging one. She took the book and read it perfectly! Only a little trace of an accent. You know how MY's accent fades in and out? It was kinda like that. And that's all I remember. :sigh:

that's pretty interesting.. it's good to write down dreams once they come.. i actually sometimes have dreams in chinese.. it's a bit strange.. unfortunately i dont think i'll have too much dreaming to do this week because it's finals week :I .. once i finish tho, i'll prolly go rush off to watch "the road home"..

To keep it short and simple, I had a dream of MY last nite. She came into my lecture hall, and I stood up said "Oh my God..Oh my God..Oh my God" and leapt to give her a hug..which I did. Then she sat down..my friend tried to sit beside her..i yanked him away and sat down myself. She said "that's not very professional" in a laughing, scolding tone. I shrugged it off and and sat down w/ her anyway and that's all I remember. :D :D

About 3 nights ago, I too had a dream with Yeoh in it! I'm not sure the details right now, but with these type of dreams, details can just pop into mind weeks from now. I know it was Yeoh... becoz her and others were in this room or apartment talking. It was some kind of interview. Strange, but appeared to be real. Sorry, there was no Ziyi. She probably stopped by for some tea right after I woke up! :D

just to dream about Z. I always think about Z and am still hoping that in this side of the world, where teenagers are wallowing in all those crappy movies, she would become THE actress to beat. (With the VISA commercial, maybe she will.)
But still, I dreamed of Z last night. Or should I say that, in my sleep, the last scene in CTHD played itself in my reverie. Only, I saw her flaoting like a feather in the mist and haze...soaring to the skies like an angel in flight...never to be seen again (perhaps) by mortals, but she will be, someday, like a bright star in the skies.
I'm dreaming that someday I'd get to see Z in person. But for now dreaming about her is enough. Like most of us Z-maniacs, we know that Z has always been our star. I know she'd always be.

OK I just had another weird one last time I slept. I'll give a little background first. It's strange.

Haha told you it was strange.

Tripps, tinababy, and I were out shopping. Virgule was off at another store. It was this strange open aired mall. Anyways, as our group was walking down shopping, we saw someone! We couldn't believe our eyes! It was Z! She was sitting down outside of a store. So we ran up to her, all crazy-like. I went up first and introduced myself. Then my sister and finally my mom. We told her we were her biggest fans. And then this guy came out of the store. He was Z's chaffuer. So when he came outside, Z spoke to him in English. She spoke perfect English. No one else heard it. I was going crazy again trying to tell my family that she spoke English, but they didn't believe me.

Later, we talked to Z's chaffuer and convinced him to let us take care of Z. So we went around shopping. Finally Virgule found us. He went totally crazy too! I introduced Z to him. And I remember saying to her, "We are the Zhangster family! We are your biggest fans!" While my mom went inside a store to look for something, Virgule, Tripps, and I were just outside with Z, we couldn't take our eyes off of her. Then Virgule brought something up about Z hair. It was this weird hairdo. It was sticking up in on the top. It was strange, but Z still looked very pretty with it.

Well somehow we started heading back to the car. We let Z do some shopping and she promised us she would catch up to us. So we got to the car wondering where she was. Then it got realy strange. The view went from my view to a view watching Z. Somehow Z was in a freezing cold river and she almost drowned.:( Well somebody found her and pulled her out. Z woke up and pulled out a big stick of soaking wet Big Red Gum (cinamon flavor! haha) She started chewing on it. The guy brought her to his log cabin in the forest. It was snowing outside. He let Z sit down by a fire to warm up. Then Z set back out...



Then I woke up. Sounds like a great movie, huh? Z's Great Adventure. I can't remember all the details, so I may have missed a very important part. Don't ask me why this dream was so strange. I'm a lunatic. I'm crazy like that. lol too funny.

This by far, I think, beats out most dreams I've read about Ziyi so far.
I get a kick out of this. Virgule the father. Tripps the sister and tinababy is the mother :laugh: I tell ya... I think this is a great dream! It was a great story for the imagination. I wonder who the chaffuer is? Hey... can I be the chaffuer? :D

And Bituin was Z's chaffuer. But we dumped him off way at the beginning. I don't know where he went because his limo was still in the parking lot. He even gave us the little car alarm disabler for the limo. I guess my the Zhangsters took your job Bituin!

I noddded off in the middle of the day. (cat nap?) I didn't have a dream about Z... I had a dream about this board. It was real short, as I was asleep only a few winks. (I think only about 20 minutes max.)

Anyway, in my dream I came to the board. The first thing I noticed was only one person posted. It was Joy and she made a new thread. (I don't know which forum but it don't matter because it was a dream/halucination.) I read it and it said Z was coming to visit the board on Friday. That's it.

What? It was a dream at least. It was close.

I liked Shadow's dream becoz it provided humor and it was fun. Imaginative. Your dream, though it is candy for the imagination, is a superb one at that! You say you don't dream much, so maybe when you do dream, it's a poweful one. And dreams have certain meaning. All I can say, is keep on dreaming... or have more of those at least! :D j/k Dreams are fascinating. I'd like to learn more about them, it's intriuging really.

Oh my, if that was a prophecy..and it came true..I don't know what I'd do! I'd be so excited that she was here..and I'd cry over my keyboard. :D

It fascinating what our dreams are like. Haha, we have the crazy ones like Spike's Mummy dream and mine and then we have dreams like yours. Personally, I'd be more excited over a realistic dream. Is it going to become reality? Who knows? There's something very special about these types of dreamZ.

I think we are all going to have to keep our eyes open this Friday! Hopefully your prophecy comes true.

I was at some department store. I was with one of my friends in the watch area. So I started looking for the tags display case. I found some tags, but I didn't see any display case with Z on it.:(

BC, maybe she visited yesterday, on China's Friday.

I just woke up from a dream. Soon as I'm done typing here, I'm going back to sleep. There wasn't much too it, well there really is a lot, but there was only a few minutes with Ziyi. We were traveling on this spaceship, not like an UFO. It was more like a cargo spaceship, long and very stylish. I think it was a stolen ship. Anyway, I'm seated facing towards the back of the ship, and there are guys acting all cool, but they had guns pointing at me so I wouldn't try to escape. No idea why. As I'm in my seat, I happen to turn over my right shoulder and I see someone very familiar... Ziyi. She was about 10 or more seats away from me. She was wearing casual clothes, very comfortable. Her hair was pulled back and the part was from the left, in a ponytail. What was she doing? Well there was this guy laying face down in the middle of the isle at first, and it looked like she was arresting him, but instead I learned that she was showing everyone this new massaging technique she knew. And this guy... well turns out to be my freaking cousin. Why him? I have no idea. I was happy to see him, I said hello, how's it going? He said, Hey! Long time no see. And exchanged a handshake, then I realize I have this camera. I had this sudden instinct to take a picture of Ziyi's face. I was less than 8ft from her. So I took the picture of her face, and it was while she was smiling. A very big mile, big enough that almost forces your eyes shut. But after taking the picture, I felt wrong. Like I wasn't suppose to take the picture without her permission first. I felt as if I violated her privacy. So I got up and walked towards her and her group of friends. There were about a half dozen or so people in this little group, she was conversing with them. I think Ziyi's uncle was on the ship as well, I don't know if she has an uncle, but in my dream this guy was there and was her uncle. I asked Ziyi if I could take a picture with Ziyi and her uncle, I kind of spoke in broken English. She then got this sour look on her face, like who are you? I guess someone told me, that when I asked her if I could take the picture of them, somehow when I said uncle in English, she thought I said a swear word or something bad in Chinese. I offended her. And in my dream... I was heartbroken. I couldn't believe I upset her... how could I appologize? All I asked was if I could take a picture, and she said no. So I turned away and walked towards the back. I was finding myself pacing back and forth, trying to figure out ways to get a picture. I kept looking up, and there was Ziyi... smiling and laughing talking to other people. I guess I felt a little jealous that I couldn't be there in the middle of the group discussion. Anyway, this one old guy tugged on my sleeve, and offered me his zoom lens for the cam. It was funny, becoz I was thinking to myself, if I could only get a lens with zoom, I then could take a shot from here, with no flash to draw any attention. So in one swift motion, I popped on the lens, and aimed the camera. Her face was perfect. The shot was perfect... I could have taken the picture... and it would have won awards and been published world wide for such a lovely face... but I didn't. I held back, and lowered the camera. I was ashamed of myself that I even thought of taking another picture, after Ziyi clearly said no picutres. Then, I looked up towards the group, and it was like when Ziyi was in The Road Home at the well, watching the men in the village get the lunch, and eat it.... she was kind of talking and her head to the side, but at the same time looking up towards me in one motion. She looked me dead in the eye, and gave me a slight nod and smile. She was saying thank you, and I felt my heart melting. And I kind of had this look on my face like, who me? You're looking at me? And then she nodded again and motioned to her friend to have me come over to talk to her. Then... I woke up. So in the end, my dream was coming true, I was about to go converse with Ziyi with her permission. She asked for me this time. The feeling of wanting and joy was so overwhelming, I woke up asking myself, was this a real or just a dream? I felt real. Well, that was my dream. And the images of Ziyi are so crystal clear and fresh in my mind.

What a good dream you had there Bituin! I'm glad you didn't take the picture the second. I know any true Z fan would respect her wishes and not do it. It paid off in the end. And I'm sure after you woke, you and Z probably took dozens of pictureZ.

I had a dream too. Someone drank some of the 2% Water I got for Christmas! Not all of it, but enough so that it was just above the label. I was SO mad! I remember thinking, "WHO drank MY 2% Water?!!!"

I forgot to post this this morning, but I had a dream kind of related to Z. It was about tRH. Hmm, let's see if I can remember this.

Well the first part was crazy, I'll just say that my dog was talking and I was stealing a blue cuckoo's egg. Weird... Something bad almost happened, but you don't need to hear about it. Anyways I ended up at some sort of general store. It was out in the plains, midwest America I guess. I was looking around and saw this big calendar. About 3 feet squared. I see The Road Home written on it in red cursive-like font on a greyish white board. It had January then February to it's right side, March was right below January. I looked closer and saw little red writting on the days. The writting marked special Chinese days. I didn't get much further after that because I woke up.

Kind of related to Z, not much other than the tRH and Chinese holidays. I should have looked for Z's birthday. Boring, but another strange dream from me. Z has got me dreaming. I never used to have this many weird dreamZ before Z.:zbash: lol

I had another dream of Ziyi. This one is the best so far, because it's the most time I've spent with her. The weird thing is, I didn't even talk to her.

I was in a mall, and I saw Ziyi dressed up Hu Li style looking for Ang Lee. He was in a jewelery store, with one of those stupid disguises..you know, with the glasses and the moustache. When she was about to approach him, a bunch of soldiers appeared and aimed their guns at her. I pushed one from the behind and took her with me as we ran to escape them. Then, Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan joined us, and me and Z were being chased by my car pool from last year. Then, we were in a park where she was being interviewed by a student from my sister's elementary school ( I could tell by the uniform). This student was probably only in grade four, and was speaking Mandarin with Z. She gave Ziyi her autograph, and Ziyi gave her her autograph. And that's the end. :D

Cool! Z and two of the best ballers in the game. LOL I like that Z was being chased be the carpool thing and the thing about the little giving Z her autograph.:D Too bad you didn't get the chance to give Z your autograph. And I bet Z could have taken on all those soldiers also.

That's a nice dream you had! It kind of reminds of this one movie, though I'm drawing a blank right now. Hey, why not make this into a movie? :D

I don't think I've heard anyone in my life have as many strange dreams as you do, and that's not a bad thing at all. That's good, you have one active imagination that's for sure! Perhaps your dream and tinababy's can be molded together for one movie? That would be funny :laugh:

Hey maybe it can Bituin...maybe it can. Remember that weird dream I had? Which one? lol The one with Tinababy as my mom haha. Well we were in some sort of outdoor shopping mall. We were both in a mall with Z. LOL this is too weird. I never had these dreamZ before Z.

I just woke up from a pretty cool dream. And for the first time, it involved 3 other members from this board. They were AppleXboy, Shadow, and tinababy. Sometimes with dreams you don't usually see the persons face, you'll just have that feeling it's them. Well since I know what Shadow and tinababy look like their faces were crystal clear. And to be honest, tinababy was wearing that sheep hat. Remember, the one she showed us awhile go? Sorry AppleX, I have no idea what you look like, but I know it was you. Ok, so the three of them were over at my house, it was like a sleep over. And we were all going to watch Rush Hour 2. We were all talking about Ziyi, bragging about her and stuff. So I was about to put the ZVD in, and everyone was talking, so I nicely told everyone to shut up :D In my dream I dind't hurt their feelings, so I hope I don't hurt your feelings by saying that now :grin: Ok, so I'm sitting on my bedroom floor, tinababy was sitting on the floor, with her back against the chair in my room. Shadow was sitting across from her, messing around with some papers or something. Not sure if it was homework or what. AppleX was sitting on my bed anxiously awaiting me to put the ZVD in. Why were we all so excited about this movie? Well becoz not only Ziyi... but it wasn't Rush Hour 2 at all... oh no... it was Rush Hour 3!!!. That's right, I said Rush Hour 3!!!. For some reason, I was the only known person alive with this copy. And YES!!!, Ziyi was making another appearance in this movie. Not only as Hu Li... but she was Hu Li's twin sister. I can't remember the plot too well... but it was like Hu Li's sister learned that her sister was in this gang from Hong Kong. And while in Vegas, blew herself up trying to kill these two cops. After being unsucessful and Hu Li's twin learing this.. she was completely irrate and also very sad. So she vowed to get back at the two cops. The setting takes place somewhere. Not sure, but another country. And she makes various apperances. With the blonde wig, and also wearing the other costumes. Like the one she wore in the car and at the casino. Lee and Carter thought they were seeing things. But they were not. So the whole movie starts to focus on this new character, which was played by Ziyi as Hu Li's twin sister. And that was how the plot went. I was talking to Shadow, Applex, and tinababy how I was going to pause the scenes with Ziyi, and play them back and forth in slow motion becoz I wanted to see her hair in slow motion :D And then I woke up. But I tell ya, this was one cool dream. We got to see RH3 and it starred Ziyi. STARRED ZIYI. Chan or Tucker were not the stars in this one, oh no. It was in big bold print.. Well I had to bring this back up from the grave. I had this dream last night. It was VERY weird just like all my other ones! Where do I come up with all these?



I was in some kind of building, like an airport without airplanes. As I was walking around I recognized someone. She had crutches and a prosthetic leg. So we were talking and then these two bad guys started chasing after us. The girl and I split up. We eventually ran around the building and met back up. She lost her crutches somehow. The guys were still chasing us though. So we ran outside. It was like a residental area, my guess would be somewhere in the northern states. The ground was all covered in snow. We ran behind a house and hid there. She was running on one leg though. So we laid down and covered ourselves in snow. The bad guys went right past us and then I woke up.



Weird huh? I don't know... I don't know what her face looked like. Yet I knew who she was. It was Deja vu. I know I must have talked to her in a previous dream. We clicked, we were two peas in a pod! For some reason I miss her. So is this Chen Wei inspired? Or am I just a weird guy running away from bad guys with my one-legged friend?

Man even though it may not seem like a good dream, I really liked it for some reason. That girl was just so spunky and charismatic!

Let me ask you this Shadow, did you recently watch Touching Starlight again? Well I don't think it really matters if you did or not. Just seeing the movie once lives in your memory, then when you dream, I believe your sub-conscious brought it back out. Also, if you play any video games with such action like bad guys chasing you or something like that, then I can see where your dream is coming from. Very interesting.

I've been watching too many movies and playing too many video games... I have only watched TS once and I don't know when I can do it again. I need total peace to watch it.

And the problem is, I don't know if it is Z's Chen Wei that I was in my dream or not. I wish I could describe the face. I know she was young though, about 15 or so. She had the enthusiam of Chen Wei. These dreams of mine are so complicated and weird. I need a mental doctor. Hypnotize me and let me relive my dreams again! I want to wear Zhao Di's hairpin. I want to eat lunch with Z. I want to go shopping with my Zhangster family and talk to Z! haha

What a mess these dreams are.

Z looked like that picture of Z in the RH2 films forum where she's standing in a pinstripe suit in black nike's looking kind of scruffy. The setting of the dream was here in Oregon.

Seems like there was Zinan and me (we quickly merged into Zinan) and we were trying to tell Z she was getting out of control. We couldn't find her...so I (now Zinan) was flying around looking for her. This wasn't flying like in CTHD. It was way up there like in the Goodyear blimp...(I actually got to ride in the GY Blimp Columbia once). Anyway...I was flying Southeast and spotted this mob of people moving around like ants.

I flew down (yep, it was Z...followed by a hoard of people (Americans)). I went up to her to tell her...but woke up before I got to say anything. As I was walking up to her (as Zinan) she recognized me immediately. I think she was trying to show me all the people following her around.

In my dream...she was just like an everyday person...just Chinese.

That was very enjoyable. A type of dream you hate to wake up from just when you're about to find out the possible meaning or learn more from it. Thanks for sharing it with us :cool:

I've had dreams like that before, merging into another person. That's a good way to describe it too.

I've been having a lot of biZarre dreams lately. And all of them had Ziyi and another friend in them. Now it's been a couple days, so I really can't recall all that happened in them. There is one that I cannot share. It was too perfect. Perhaps I will eventually.

When one has a continuous dream over and over again, night after night, it usually means something. I don't know what the exact details of the dreams are (and you probably forgot them), but all the people and locations are all symbolic of something in your life.

Who's to say what dreams are? Are they prophetic? Are they merely visions of the past haunting us in our sleep through symbols and metaphors? I think, Bituin, you should concentrate hard enough to remember the details of each of the dreams; that is, those you still remember and those you may have...write them down. Maybe they will lend insight into something in your life.

"Too perfect" Did you spend the whole day with Z? hehe Maybe it's time you get more sleep B. You never seem to get enough. Now is your chance now that you are having these dreams. :snooze:

Actually, the dream that I felt was perfect is the one that I recall in great detail. Sooner or later I'll share it with you, promise. It's weird though. Because I become full of giggles when I even think about it or attempt to write it down. I dunno. It just hits me really hard in the middle of my chest (around my heart) and straight through to my back. Almost a chilling experience for sure.

I believe that dreams have meaning and can foresee future events. I also believe it's up to the individual on whether or not to make it happen. Trust your gut, I always say.

I had a new dream last night! I thought it was really special considering how Tina and Cass just made contact with MY.:D


It was in this luxury hotel room. Z was sitting on the ground next to the bed and she was talking some lady. I was standing across the room. I guess I was watching Z give an interview. The lady left and so I was alone with Z in the room. We were looking at each other for about 1-2 minutes. We were really shy so it was funny; we were smiling at each other.

Then Z said "Hi" to me in her cute little voice. I said "Hi" back. Then she said something to me in Chinese and then she was sitting there expecting me to answer back. I couldn't say anything because I don't know Mandarin! I was so embarrassed.:blush: I just sat there doing nothing. And she was just smiling at me.

Then for some reason I warped onto an airplane and found Virg and B together. I told them how I just met Z in real life and we talked (kind of...haha).



I don't feel I did a good job explaining. It was so much better in the dream. The experience of sitting there, looking at Z, and saying hi to her was just so cute. It wasn't awkward or anything like that either. The whole thing was just cool.

That's the most adorable dream I've read Shadow! So cute how you guys were smiling at each other! heehee! It makes me laugh..it IS funny..amusing, rather. :D

myself and Jerry Seinfeld went to a city in Brazil. He was trying to get into a comedy club there. I was by myself so I went down to the beach to watch the legendary girls of Rio. (It wasn’t Rio...but some place in Brazil like Rio. I remember thining...in my dream...”This can’t be Rio...I’m in Brazil!” It worked out though.

All the girls looked the same with thong bikinis on. All same color of coffee brown. None of them would talk to me. Jerry came down...and all the girls went to talk to him. Imagine that.

They started posing...to get on his show. They all were posing in the same way Z was for FHM. I was thinking....”Girls... he’s Jerry Seinfeld...not FHM.”

Anyway, it was a weird...but not unpleasent dream.

That's the weird thing TB. You don't KNOW the face, but you KNOW who they are.

I've had two dreams with B and Virg and I KNOW it's them. Then I had this other one a while back with you and Tripps being my mom and sister. I just KNOW it's you girls too. I don't think in my dreams you have faces. The only face I can clearly see is Z's.

I have seen pics of you (TB in your lamb costume, yes, I still remember:D. That was the cutest thing lol), Tripps, and B. However I haven't seen Virg. But then again, I don't see your faces in my dreams, so it doesn't really matter.


Maybe the avatars below your names are the reason for only seeing Z's face. So in my dreams, you would be the Tag Heuer Z.:D hehe I don't think so.

I got one, and I think that I share that story before...Well, if Bee must miss that story. I just spared the small detail. I dream of Zhang Ziyi and Im soppuse to watched something else then I saw that Musa movies in my dreams before it get to the real theaters...And that is weirds for me...

Ah! I just woke up from a good nap. I love good naps.

Anyway, I had a dream too! It was strange...it was a cross between medieval stuff and present. I think we were in India..and Michelle Yeoh adopted a East Indian name. She had actually said,

"When I am here, I am no longer Michelle Yeoh. I am Michelle ______!"

Ziyi was there too. She was again a sort of "hidden dragon" character. In front of everyone else, she was weak and sniffly, but I knew in the back of my mind she was a terrific fighter. I'm not sure what the story line of my dream was, but I know that there were people out there who wanted to attack Michelle and Ziyi. There was once scene where Ziyi was in a boat with a few men and arrows were being shot at them. She was cowering down and had pulled her hood (medieval hood, mind you) over her head. Michelle was dressed in the clothes from the Touch. The clothes in the picture that I like from Bee's post.

Then there was a scene where Michelle was skulking around at night, and she finds Ziyi. Ziyi bursts into tears and is sobbing her eyes out and Michelle takes her gently and holds her to her chest and strokes her hair comfortingly. (Much like the scene in CTHD, but Ziyi is crying harder, and Michelle is WAY more sympathetic) There's even a part where Michelle readjusts Ziyi's head so that it would be more comfortable for her (Z).

And that's it. I remembered the dream while I was eating some fried rice.

I had another dream about Ziyi.

For some reason, we had to try to squirt her with water, but she was cheating by going behind a glass. So I picked up a rock to break the glass, and lo and behold, I accidentally struck her on the cheek with the rock. She started crying and I had to apologize. :crying:

Thanks for posting your dream TB! I think you gave me some inspiration last night because I had TWO dreams about Z!



The first one, I was at my friend's house. He has this very large collection of Star Wars action figures. Somehow I knew he also had a Hu Li action figure. So I asked if I could see it. He brought it out of the desk drawer and gave it to me. LOL, the thing was made up of different parts of other figures. I could see the legs of a Batman character (Harley Quinn) and the face was really white. The legs were huge and the rest of the body was small lol. He asked me if it was good and I said, "uhh... umm.. yeah:ohman: the legs are a little big and fat though." :D



The other dream was just an image. I saw a magazine cover with Z on it. The magazine was called "ValourZ" or "ValoureZ" I can't remember. And Z's picture was in the bottom right hand corner. It was the picture from TIME with Z's Hero pic (the one on ZM's avatar). But the funny thing was how they spelled her name.

It was in semi-big, bold white letters spelling out "ZHANG ZI-HI" :laugh: lol weird...

Hahahahah!! Cool Dreams Shadow!! I like the first one! An disproportional Hu Li...could there ever be such a thing?! heee!!!

I had another dream about Z...

I was watching The Early Show and they were covering this charity event to help find a cure for cancer. They started showing shots of all the celebs that attended. Then they showed Z! She had shot hair and it was kind of curly. She was wearing the most extravagent dress. Everything about her was just... perfect.

Then they started showing interviews, and the first one up was Z! Her English was so improved. She sounded like she was born in the States. I can't remember anything she said about the cancer function though.




I guess that dream isn't as weird as all my other have been. It actually sounds like something that would happen in real life. Z's always the most beautiful lady anywhere she goes and she is humble and charitable. That's our Z.

I can't say I've had a 'real' dream about anything - please define real.

I do remember when I had one dream about Z. It was more of a nighmare though...

A group of friends and I went bowling - don't ask the setting because this is the very first bit I think I was somewhat concious for - so we went bowling and there was Z, out of nowhere! Anyway, for some reason, everybody could reach Z and talk to her except for moi. No matter how hard I tried, when ever I got to Z's position, she had disapered. Then after a frantic search in which my sub-concious mind was distraught, I saw her, those beautiful eyes and her lovely ears and I ran to her... I could not run. My feet were plastered to the floor. Suddenly, all around me, I saw people; media, fans all trying to get to Z - like she was money pouring from the skies. She takes one quick terrified look at the stampied of 'well-wishers' and flees - leaving me stuck to my own indignation - but it's more than that - I feel as if I have lost life itself. I want to cry out to her as she leaves in a black car 30 feet from me but I have no tears or voice. All I have is my own sorrow...

I had another dream about Z


I was sitting there flipping channels and then I suddenly Hero came up. I was soo happy and I didn't even question why it was on tv either. I was watching for maybe about a minute until my mom came in my room and sat on the ground. She was doing something and then my sister came and they started talking. ARG! I couldn't even read the subbies anymore, they were so distracting. Finally after 5 minutes, I just had to kick them out telling them I just had to watch the movie.

Hero turned out to be very different from what expected. Literally half of the the movie was black and white. I would be watching a scene and then the left half of the screen would be faded to b&w. All the actors would be in color though even if they stepped onto the left side.

I only remember one scene with Z. Some how she turned invisible. The guys around her were fighting making a big mess in the house. Then Z became visible again about 3 feet away from these two guys who were fighting. She was wearing her flowing blue robe. Then in one sweeping standing roundhouse kick, Z sent both of them flying to the floor. It was such a great move. You couldn't imagine it; you just gotta see it for yourself.


Well that's all I can remember right now. Maybe I'll see Hero in full before anyone else in N. America.:bigwink:

I had a dream last night that I was watching Hero again. It wasn't the whole movie last like my last dream though (see below). It was only short clips of it, but most of them were of Z kicking butt. I can't remember any of the scenes right now, but Z looked pretty impressive. There were some of Maggie and Tony too... Maggie was better than him though. lol I wish I could remember the rest of dream.

I had a dream about Z too, how fortunate huh?

I dreamt that Ziyi and I were very good friends, hehe. I was teaching her English and she was teaching me Mandarin (since I'd really like to learn that language one day). We were laughing and giggling from the small mistakes we made in our attempts to speak each other's native language.

I think that's all I remember. Most of my dreams consist of wuxia and action flicks.

I guess I was watching a 'Making of --------" program and Z was in it. At first I thought it was Hero, but then I figured it was some other movie. Z was doing that running up the bamboo shoot thing just like in CTHD. Then she started climbing up this giant oak tree which happened to be suspended in air for some reason. The program then cut to this Chinese lady speaking in English. I didn't pay much attention cuz the lady was kind of old looking, but the voice was oddly familiar. So they showed more clips of the movie and then went back to the lady. I looked closer at the lady and to my surprise, it was Z! Her hair was curled in such a way that it made her look like she was ~45. She spoke good English, but it was really fast and high pitched. I remember hearing her say that she really liked the book that the movie was based off of too.
I can't remember any of the other major details though.

I had a WEIRD dream about Z the other night, and I didn't know what to do when I woke up. I dreamt that Z spoke perfect English (kind of like Jackie Chan in some way) and she started singing a song. I had no idea what that song was, but it was all in English and she sounded very nice :D I was getting out of a taxi of some sort and I was told to protect Ziyi! All these oddly dressed Asian men came after me and then it automatically turned into a wuxia dream; I was flying and they couldn't, they were trying to catch up with me.

The next thing I knew, I saw Z getting captured in a van. She was trying to kick their asses but they kept forcing her in. I flew onto the van and knocked some of those guys out, then I think we were both kicking ass :D That's all I remember, it was just too weird.

Wow... it's been a while since I had one of these. This one was so real! I even dreamt that I posted it about it in the CurrentZ section.



So I was watching Regis & Kelly when suddenly they announced that Z was their next guest! They started interviewing her about SMMF. I don't remember anything about the interview or how good Z's English was. All I remember was that they showed a clip of the movie. Then it went to a commercial break, and Kelly said something about next they will be doing a segment about coloring hair. So she asked Z if she wanted to stay till the next segment and participate and she said yes.

During the commercial break, I came onto films and started a thread "Z IS ON REGIS NOW!!!" I wrote everything about the interview and told you guys to watch the next segment because they would be messing around with Z's hair...

The show came back on and there was Z in this really great purple and black dress-type thing. She was already sitting in a chair and her hair was black at the first 6 inches of the base and gold down the rest. Her hair was around 2.5ft long. I though tthey were just going to color it to some other weird design. Then Regis took out some scissors and started cutting her hair!! (If you've ever seen him try to do something you know how inept he usually is and how he's a goofball) I got so mad at him for cutting Z's hair. He got this big chunk in the back and cut off around 2 ft!! Z had this weird look on her face, but she didn't know that he had just cut off her hair. Then he went to the front and cut another 2ft long handfull off. Z looked so worried by this time. Then Regis & Kelly started to tie off the front part. It looked so stupid!!! Z had this big knot of black hair right in the middle of her forehead.

OMG!!! I was so mad at this time at what they'd done to Z's beautiful hair!!!

Luckily I woke up right then.:D Hopefully I can't see the future. lol

I've dreamt Ziyi once, she was a new student in my class :D But I don't remember anything else ._.

Well, actually it was early this morning since I'm usually a night owl. Anyway, in this all too brief dream, she and I were part of some tour group moving from one city to the next visiting art museums. Don't know where we were exactly, although I got the feeling it was somewhere in the Midwest U.S. Somehow Ohio seems to stick for whatever reason. And no it wasn't the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Artwork as in paintings, sculpture, etc.

Anyway, I spent much of the time trying to get close to her and get something going between us, although admittedly, and embarrassingly, she seemed more interested in the art.

Was Larry Hagman in it? Was Z wearing a harem costume? :D

LOL! :D No, but I wish Z had granted me my three wishes. All of which involved her. :love:
