i loved this movie,

produced by Ching su Tung
director Johnny To ( to kei fung )

Anita Mui as "wonderwoman", dutiful housewife by day- super crime fighter by night

Michelle Yeoh as "San", beautiful but deadly Vixen, enslaved as an agent of a Demon from ming dynasty times........she steal's babies.......

Maggie Cheung as "Chat" sexy leather lingerie motorbike mercenary chick.

This movie is a must!,

special notes, i say coolness factor 10/10 because

Maggie with an assualt rifle......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Michelle is a baddy!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anita just bing Anita

The "mummy style take-over of michelle, is an absolute laugh

I saw lots of CTHD in this

1992!!!!!- and it rocks!

Executioners was already out on Hire, so i got Moon warriors.

1994, directed by Samo Hung
Stars andy Lau, Anita Nui, maggie cheung and kenny bee ( i have no-idea which character kenny bee was - i'll have to do some reading up ).

I was surprized, to see "willy' the orca!!!!!!!!!!!!

some of the most aggressively acrobatic combat scenes eva!

inspires................
I definately have to learn to do cartwheels wielding a sword i think.

loved the movie, just......such a tragic ending......:crying:

finally got to see executioners.
a very popular movie it seems, when i returned it, it had already been booked in advance for this coming week.

after seeing this movie, i think M16 assualt rifles should be included in the list of official martial arts weaponery

Michelle Yeoh was badly hurt in that movie, when the bad guy hit her spine and hit the sensitive part of her old wound that she suffer in Ah,kam movie!..... There is an articles about that scence, that she vomit and send to the hospital, Back, then our conclusion in that movie as her movie goers, she suffer to her back spine in jury again that's why they kill her characters...But no one really knows why for the very first time Michelle Yeoh was killed in the movie... A lot of her fans was sad when they come out from the movie theater, and I'm one of those sad fans....

i think k i'll have to see M Y's Wing Chun.
I have used Butterfly swords ( bart jarm dao ) in my routines for years....( they are wonderful to use after half an hour of broadsword exercises )
and never seen the movie which shows the best use of them to date.

it took me awhile to convince the local video store to stock these, now they are so hard to hire because thier uplift is pre-ordered weeks ahead.

excellent recommendation Cassandra
what a fun adapation and variation of the original story line - extremely funny and.entertaining.

Michelle protrays this so well and convincing with ( even thou M Y says she is not a kung fu exponent ) genuine wing Chun style foot work and principal moves ( she is awesome with butterfly swords )

i'll definately watch this one again
but i will never think of soya bean curd the same

Z could be considered a modern day Wing Chun,
as Wing chun was considered a rare beauty,
just as Ziyi is today

leung bok cho, as a merchant, as modern could be a banker
was master of "southern shaolin style kung fu".

That would be great if Zhang Ziyi do the modern Wing Chun movie.... Back to my nest ... Touch messages board to tell the Michelle Yeohs' fans, that it is true that I got a letter and pictures to Michelle Yeoh herself..... Hoping that Jane put the pictures as soon in the Gallery in MYOFC....

I wonder if she did all her own stunts ( we all know she could if she chose to )

Warships are to the British, as the cavalry are to the Americans:D

i must say ole boy

"send in the destroyers" sounds more threatening than
"send in the horses "

They are not that smart...but they kick ass. High-tek now, too. Kill ‘em all.

On occasion, we do send in the cavalry, however, they now mount 70 ton M1A2 Abram tanks that travel in packs; go 45 MPH for 300 miles and never take "no" for an answer.

i managed to buy a yu shu lien and a li mu bai
boxed/packaged from one of the comic shops last week.
old stock apparently.
i had to stand in a line of people, every one else buying the "hell raiser" figures, each person felt compelled to compare their pin head doll to me, which i guess wasn't surprizing in the fact i was wearing all black and must have looked pasty with the slight flu i carried.

on observation of my "loot" much discussion was had over what a great movie CTHD was, even for the goths and punkrockers.

however when the subject of the cuteone came up, a guy who looked like a hobbit perked up, with "imagine if pin head and huli were in a movie together"..............
all i could think of then is "putting two and two together, i like this idea hmmmmmmmmm, but maybe someone should throw this option in the 2046 script change possibilites.............yeahhhh

when looking at these works of art
i feel a fear of ever opening the packaging

what do i do ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

gaz,
You should have bought 2 of each figures..

You can set one as a collectors item... then you can play with the other dolls..
You can create scene between the Jen action figure and a Uruk hai action figure.. maybe you can do what I do... get those 2 action figure and beat up my cousin's barbie and ken dolls. :D

i have been watching episodes of "Asian cinema" on one of the 'sky" documentary programs
It helps western audiences understand the culture of this cinema - including me.

My biggest surprise was the influence the Chinese choreographers had from Japanese martial arts.............
It was interesting also to see the gradual deployment of women............as fighters

i had never noticed before the touchy touch aspect of the men ( sort of dodgy )in the earlier movies
and the secondment of women, treated like a pet or drinking buddy.

the development of fight scenes, and the amount of work that goes into creating a flowing sequence
even harder to make it a meaningful and entertaining presentations.

makes me appreciate yimou's style alot more too

and the cuteone....................Ziyi..................i s truly the most beautiful woman that has ever walked this earth.
( i knew this already, each time.............is just like the first moment of awareness )

Yap! agree with you Gaz.... Zhang Ziyi captured my eyes too when I watched her in CTHD, if there is a time now that Michelle Yeoh give up her throne as a Action Herione star... Ziyi deserve to call that Title... I been watching Michelle Yeoh's for 17 yrs. now I been watching Zhang Ziyi for almost 4 yrs....
