lately. Fallout from CHARLIE’S ANGELS probably. She’s popular.
She’s more than a token Chinese. She’s getting a lotta work.

She has.
Last three years - Shanghai Noon; Charlie's Angels (2000/2003); Ballistic; Chicago; plus a couple of others...
Busy girl. Good for her.

She's also in the new Quentin Tarentino movie, Kill Bill:

quietly racking up some impressive credits and a lot of screen time.
She looks good on film. At first I didn’t like her much. I think she’s an acquired taste.

I was surprised to see her in Chicago, her very short role was pretty impressive.

She's definitely an acquired taste. I didn't like her much at first either. I really didn't find her all that attractive. But she's really grown on my and I think she's really sexy now. I think it's the Charlie's Angels movies that did it.
I can't wait to see her in Kill Bill. I'm also looking forward to seeing her in Cypher also. Although, Miramax picked up distribution for that film so who knows when that'll be released!!

Stay away from the small screen. Leave that to Whoopi Goldberg or some hack like that.

To define personal success on American television - three things have to happen.
One - They make fun of you on a Saturday Night Live skit.
Two - You have your own Simpson episode.
Three - You are a guest judge on American Idol.
If Ziyi can do that, she does not need a television series. Her fame is automatic.

And stay away from American Idol!
She is already the American Idol.

I can think of several projects she could get involved in. There’s more prestige now.
I just don’t know how likely she would be to hear of them.

I want Ziyi to do intelligent projects. Totally different than what everyone thinks she can only do...
She needs to re-event herself. She needs to move away from "princess role - diva" projects, to a strong independent, intelligent project.
She needs to show her maturity in thrue her work.
The new projects will be similar with MTV vibe.. fast paced and with distinct music soundtract that is from that area..
I want her to do a documentary for National Geographic Channel.
She can do a history/travel show for them..
It will be done with digital camera .. for ease of use and to keep budget down.
THe soundtrack will use music from that region..
She will talk about key historical places, time, people, events.
What's the significance of that place in world culture and current events.
- Start in CHina
- soundtrack : original music from chinese bands..
she will visit various key cities and villages ..
..example..
-- SHanghai--
* focus on the history of the location, leading to its current condition and events.
* Impact that it has in the country (china).
* Impact that it has in the world.
- Beijing --
(do the same format) ..
Close with the up coming olympics and future economic growth and how these cities and village will contribute to the success of the games and china in the world economy.
Then she will do the same thing for Australia and New Zealand..
In Europe she can do a show about "Ancient Monarchy: knights & viking, there all Kermit Froggy".. she can talk about the history of knights and relationship to Vikings.
Then she can go to Italy and do a special on the "History of the Ferrari : the family behind the car"..
Then she can do another special projects for the Discovery Channel.
The first one will be called "Iguana's, miss understood creatures"..
-She can spend sometime in an island full of iguanas.. talk about the different varieties and their contribution to the echo system.
- Then she will go back to New Zealand to do a special on "Whales: to ride or not to ride".
She will have fun wiggling, squeeking and getting dirty with these animals.. :D
She may not make alot of money from this project.. But it is something more deeper and more intelligent than doing other worthless shity movies or tv shows.
I'm very sure she would love making these shows too.. :agree:

National Geographic and MTV? Definately not a good mix! I prefer the Discovery Channel to National Geographic channel though. MTV just sucks.:D
She can replace Lisa Ling on National Geographic Explorer.:bigwink: Just don't get blown away when tornado chasing, don't stick her head outside of the APC in Iraq, or go sticking her hand in a gator's mouth.
And whatever happened to that Boyd Matson guy? He was cool.

Their shows have the same concept already... "Naked woman with rings on their breast dancing to native music with really bad lightings".. except the women on National Geographic have natural breast!
Mixing the concept of National Geographic and MTV is perfect... its not like she's going to Punk'ed China, what's she gonna do, move the great wall!"
What I mean is the flavor and camera feel would be more dynamic. By using digital as oppose to film.. it would make the audience feel as if they are really there in that event.

I like the concept. In fact, she has already done at least one Discovery series for Panda Bears.
