Well, I guess we can definitely credit the Japanese with equaling the U.S. in baseball.

Hideki Matsui (Godzilla) just popped a fastball over the centerfield fence in Yankee Stadium. 408 ft. Not even the whimpy right field corner. First Japanese home run in a World Series.

Suzuki, and now this guy. Wow.

I wonder if the Series will be played in Tokyo someday. That would be cool.

Whoa, whoa, hold it right there.

Ya, they got some studs like Suzuki and Matsui, but in no way does Japanese baseball contain the same talent that its American counterpart does.

Just remember, it is players from the US that go to Japan in the twilight of their careers, while the Japanese players that come here are arriving when their talent is at its peak.

Just imagine how many amazing a guy like A-Rod would be in Japan, he would be off the charts, damn the guy already is here.

They’re heeeeeeerrrrrr.

They are doing it now. Only about 5% of the players in the AL and NL are bonified superstars anyhow. There are teams over there who can play with our guys.

I propose we have 2 or 3 years of exhibition games over there...then put a team in Tokyo. Travel would be a bitch.

Tell me they couldn’t sell out every game. They could build a 100,000 fan staduim and sell it out every day. Baseball is huge, huge, huge in Japan.

What is Mr. Baseball?

I presume the main criteria for getting to host a team is fan interest. Can’t believe Tokyo wouldn’t have huge fan interest. Probably would win more games than Detroit.

Seriously, they should bid for the Montreal Expos. They play home games in Porto Rico now. Tokyo Expos...ah yah.

Travel would be a problem: They could buy two used Concords from the French/British to shuttle teams from J to USA.

Mr. Baseball (http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0104926/) The greatest film about Japanese baseball there is! Probably the only Japanese baseball film too haha

The tokyo giants would struggle to beat the worst teams the MLB has to offer.

He’s getting hits in big bunches.
