I went to see this film last night. Why? I don’t know.
It was a better horror film than THE RING. Perhaps because the truth is always stranger and more horrifying than fiction can ever hope to be.
There is nothing more brutal on this planet than human beings, and nobody more brutal to women than other women. It also follows that Irish women may have the corner on feminine brutality...and in a nun’s cloak of sweetness.
I think the girls at Citybikes (who work on my bicycle,) came out of one of the Magdelena Laundries. Edgy girls who’ve seen madness and casual brutality. Maybe they’re from a girls reform school or prison. They have tattoos, piercings, colorful language, and a lanky bravado.
If you go to this film...go on an empty stomach.
