I watched the Xmas version of this curiosity.

The winner ate a live worm sausage and swam under a burning lake to win $50,000 dollars. What a day’s work he put in.

As the drama of the worm sausage was playing out...NBC ran an ad for ORDINARY JOE. The look on the face of the chick, when she saw her first optional favorite Joe, was the same as the look of fatal resignation on the worm sausage eating FEAR FACTOR winner.

One of the guys who lost had to eat 4 living dragonflys.

Other contestants had to eat: rotton fly-covered squid (a lovely blond girl who couldn’t do it,) and an ant-covered dead cod-fish (he finished it but just a few seconds late.) The food on this show is compelling.

This is the new look of American TV.

What, no 3 inch live cockroach burgers?

is frightening.

The only thing more frightening, is the idea of puking some of that stuff back up.

Some of those contestants have a martial arts technique for eating that stuff. Like kung food. I guess it’s like some kind of mental adjustment. The dragonfly eater did these preparations...then just snapped them off...and chewed them up.

Dodging flames, falling off buildings and jumping out of helicopters is nothing after eating something gross.

Well, the ULTIMATE fear factor would be eating a live cokroach, while your hair is set on fire, while jumping out of an airplane ..... naked .... all on television.

Yeah, I might blink at that. :laugh:
