each day.
Takes a lot of water to make a loaf of bread. We really don’t have time for the Husseins and the Bin Ladins of the world. There are bigger fish to fry.
I didn’t know the Chinese had a wheat crop. Corn too! How is the rice crop holding up?
Everything I buy today has “Made in China” stamped on the back.

They raise the price because they pay for the shipping of the product back and fort, from china-->US-->china..
ehehehehhe  .. maybe I should just send you the stickers "made in USA" and you can put it on what is made there.
It will save you money.. :D

whatever happens with the environment, the US will always provide assistance to China...
However, one thing that china can do immediately is to stop draining its water supply, namely its giant fossilised aquifer that sits underneath its farming regions. As it drains its aquifer for irrigation the water cannot be replaced. As it has less water, and as global temperatures rise, it is getting less and less harvest.

The significant drop in wheat production is largely attributed to China's massive forestation in recent years. For years China deforest its land and uses it for crops. Such trend has been reversed since 1998. Some 20 mil hectares(not really sure about this figure though) of tilth has been forested thus far.

hectare? Are they reforesting with bamboo, or something like pine?
My floors are made of bamboo which reaches maturity in 5 years. I think the stalks are 12 inches in diameter at maturity. Pine or evergreen takes about 75 years or longer.

I think it's mainly of bamboo and poplar, but it depends on which area you are in. For example in inner mongolia they are planting grass instead of tree.
Unlike many other developing countries who keep deforesting their lands for commerical logging and agriculture, China is doing exactly the opposite. It has stopped large scale commercial logging in recent years and started a nationwide environmental campaign called "return the tilth to forest".

have curbed their burgeoning population. Many areas...including the U.S. have problems reconciling forests with pressure from the encroachement of population.
Maybe the Chinese don’t think about sex much anymore? Maybe over quilt and concern for pandas?
